I just heard from my hosting provider that they are terminating their contract with one of their data centers due to rising costs. That data center happens to be where this server is hosted.

As such, they need to relocate my VPS server to one of their other leased data centers. I'll let you know when this is going to happen. But hopefully, it only involves being down for a few hours.

Server will me migrated in the next few hours. So expect the website to be unreachable at times.

If you are seeing this message, you are now pointing at the new server and everything is good!

FYI, if you posted anything on the forum after my message above that the server was going to start the migration and no longer see it here, that is because it was not in the data transferred to the new site.

There was an overlap between the two, so anything posted to the "old" server in during that overlap, it didn't make the move and can't be pulled over.

They started the migration before I was able to lock the website, and as such afterward, in the middle of the night my time, both were online at the same time.

Little while ago I couldn't connect.

Is there an actual static IP address that can be typed in?

Been hit or miss for me so must be taking a long time for the updated info to reach all the west coast DNS servers.

It should be fixed now. Someone transposed a number when DNS record was updated. Instead of 109.x.x.x they typed in 190.x.x.x.

So that caused mass confusion and routing issues.

Everything I have checked appears to be working, including the email that has been down for the last two days.

Now I can take off my computer guy hat and go put my car guy hat back on.

If you need me, I'll be in the garage.

Thank you, Kev, for all the work! I know how frustrating such a move can be as a few years ago I had to move all my sites (some of which have more than one domain name) to an entirely new hosting company when the old one decided to go all commercial Cloud. It was a lot of work, especially as some older sites needed earlier PHP versions to run!
