Trippe Lights on a

I'm getting ready to install a Trippe Light on my '32 901. Before I do so I want to get it re-chromed and I want to remove the mounting bracket that connects it to the light's outer shell. There is a nut on a bolt holding the bracket to the shell. Is there a special socket for the nut before I drill it out?

Also, when it comes to wiring does it wire to the switch at the end of the steering column?

There is a special wrench made specifically for Trippe lights - makes them harder to steal. I've seen repros for sale online, though I can't recall where just now.
