Hi everyone,

When I took off the manifold for my 327 engine, the vacuum line connecting the top part of the manifold to the carburetor ended up breaking. Does anyone know how to remove or replace this piece?

That is he heat source for the automatic choke and the small upper tube should just be a snug slip fit in the larger tube which is pressed into the manifold. If it is the upper smaller tube broken, depending on where the break is you can cut the end off and rebend the small tubing or replace it with copper tubing if the large tube end is still good and clear of obstructions so the tubing can slip in.

If you need the manifold portion, one of our vendors may have the larger tube or you can probably buy a short length of stainless tubing from McMaster-Carr and replace it. You would need to ensure it is swaged or affixed in some way so exhaust does not leak out around it or tube does not fall out. If you replace with ordinary tubing the end of the tube is crimped or partially plugged to somewhat restrict the flow of air thru the tube so it has a chance to heat up.
