If testing: Only apply voltage to one terminal at a time. NOT both at once like a generator.

Of course, case is ground.

compensator repair: i have removed and inspected the compensator and found the worm gear bearing to be rusted out of sight except for 2 ball bearings, and all seals need replacing. this caused the worm gear to not engage with the worm gear, problem solved, just need to find the needed parts. preferably a complete rebuild kit. anyone have an idea where i can find new parts for the compensator?
