Greetings,
I’m going to attempt to change the thermostat and am not sure how to install it with sleeve that comes with it.
It seems simple enough, but after reading some of the responses on other thermostat replacements,I want to make sure I’m not overlooking any important details.
Any advice or suggestions greatly appreciated.

Nothing special. It's the later style (51-54) that used a wire retainer that can be a challenge isn't he little nubs in housing have rusted away.

The early sleeve style retainers should not present any issues.

Hello,
I pulled out the old thermostat and it appears that the housing still has a retainer/sleeve in it.
I’m thinking I can still use the retainer since it’s in there pretty good and in good shape.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
