Missed the part on the bumper jack. Kaizer (to put it in young people speak), bumper jacks are a meme at this point. You should instead use a hydraulic dolly jack either under the rear differential, or under the welded assembly up front (blue arrows). Jackstands should be placed in pairs left to right on the car (top/bottom on the image) in one of the four pairs of locations indicated. If you are working on anything but concrete, you will also want to get some scrap wood and pile some planks at least:
- sideways under the main frame section on both sides. - under the welded box assembly up front. Note that it is ok and most convenient to place jackstands under the rear axle, except that makes it impossible to work on that assembly or the rear wheels/brakes as the the wheels cannot be removed when the car is lifted by the rear axle. (Not enough space in the fender.) Example of the cheapest jack I would buy:harborfreight.com/automotive/jacks-jack- ... th-rapid-pump-slate-gray-70485.html Jack stands here:harborfreight.com/automotive/jacks-jack- ... g-jack-stands-slate-gray-70594.html You can also get jack stands on Facebook for cheap. Make sure to get some that can get the car at least a foot in the air or so... you will have to slide under that gap. For lumber, just ask around... somebody works somewhere where there is a bunch of scrap wood. Pretty much any industrial business is throwing it out all the time from breaking down shipping crates.

So our fuel line was built.. super weird. Someone stated here before that the line was installed before the car, and I believe them. It was wedged under a beam behind the wheel well and between the engine. It would just be easier to run it along the frame rail, then find a new, less complicated route for the new line. We got our old gas tank back and its as good as new. Dude did a dantastic job

Originally, we had the rear tires on ramps, but that made the front too low that even I couldn’t fit under it without crushing my ribs. We have jack stands under the rear leaf springs and just got 2 more to slap on the front

If it was my decision to use those ancient technologies, we wouldn’t have used them to begin with. However, the old fart still likes to deny technology and go back to the 1800s to work on cars 😭 All jokes aside, we will no longer be using those since he finally caved and got a 3 ton daytona jack + stands. We do have all 4 tires on ramps now, and that baby isnt going anywhere anytime soon

Hello chat, I have come to announce we have finally purchased a new fuel pump! Its been getting really cold out here in the midwest, along with way too much rain. With the seasons changing,I have been experiencing a spike in depression and no motivation to do much of anything. However, we’re going to keep chugging through it and get this done
