Al,

Always good to see parts getting put back on, that's progress! Went back and saw the pic of the day you brought the '57 home, certainly a difference in the weather compared to the day you took it to the body shop.

Al, good to keep us up-to-date. The paint job will be done soon and you can bring it home and finish the trim. Glad to see you took the rear window trim off - you never know what might be hiding under there. I'll be glad to come over and offer advice when putting it back on.

This is a quick update on my project. No progress to speak of as waiting for body shop to finish paint which has been going on since last Oct. Which we do not mention in my home. The latest update is it will be done soon. The reason for this update is to give a thumbs up to one of the people I had the pleasure of dealing with, Dale E Mease. Of Mid Atlantic Packards a true gentlemen who delivers what he says he will in a timely manor rare in todays world . I ordered a set of Diamondback radials from him at a price under what Diamondback would deliver them to my door.
Nice to see that some suppliers can do what they promise on time.
I have all the needed parts to finish my project exept the painted body all I can do is wait one summer season almost gone now.

I don't tease Al about the paint because he is bigger than me. But his brother does! We enjoyed the cruise tonight and had a few cashews also.

Well after 11 months got my project back from painter Friday. My brother picked it up and drove it to his garage to put on parts needed for regular road driving such as lights windows and such. I had to put on a few pieces this morning. Now I will have things to do with my free time which is now limited do to my choice to go back to work to help a group of my friends.

More progress this week as most of chrome trim back on windows all back in and rear glass was installed which was the job we were most concerned with as manual wanted the use of rubber mallets on glass a idea not to my liking. We installed it with no breakage which was the goal. The new Diamondbacks were installed and balanced supercharger installed. After all the above car was driven back to my home for final work of the interior and little tweeks .
It was great to have my brothers help with all the chrome and window work and the support from Randy.

Looks nice, Al!

While pastel shades and two-tone paint are the expectation for cars of that period, there's just something about an all-black car with all that brightwork.

I look forward to seeing your '57, up-close, at Warren next summer.
