Hank: Thanks for posting the link of the former Packard dealership in Philadelphia. Knowing the address is Broad Street in Philly I wouldn't live there unless I was forced to.

The only good thing about Philadelphia is being from there and saying that you no longer live there.

gusha....i don't understand the question, sorry.

philly is really that bad, they make that place sound so nice on the webpage. and for the price of them, coulda fooled me. i pay less than the most expensive unit for my 2200 house. around these parts condo type flats like those are in really nice neighborhoods. like the montgomery plaza.

the fort worth Packard dealership is for sale now too...i thought if i was a millionaire that i could turn that bad boy into something nice and Packard related too....but i am not, so i can't ;0(

Hank, thanks for sharing. I believe the old Earl C. Anthony Packard dealership building in Los Angeles has recently been converted to condos. They probably get a bit more for theirs than the ones in Philadelphia. Take care.

The Earl C. Anthony Los Angeles Packard dealership was converted to condos a few years ago. I guess this is one way to preserve historic old buildings. Boy, they could have created a whole condominium city out of the old factory.

Thanks for posting this interesting tidbit.

Jim

EDIT: I see JW beat me to it!

Hank, yes that is it. A very dear long departed friend worked there from about 1928 to 1954. He had so many great stories to tell.
