Hey guys, hope someone can help identify this car. A friend found it behind a burned out gas station in northern Ontario and has challenged me to identify it.

Yes, It is a 1952 200series sedan, similar in many ways to a 1951, but with subtle trim differences.

That's what I thought, but thought I'd double check here first.

Assuming the grill is original, wouldn't that make it a deluxe or a 250?

HH, it appears to me to be a 4-door car; didn't the 250 series only comprise the hardtop (Mayfair) and the convertible? If I'm correct, then a grille change is suspected.

If it has the 3 jet pods on the side it is a 1952 200 deluxe. If no pods then the grill has been changed.Owen you are right on the 250. Brian

Thanks Brian, it's nice to be right once in a while.

But the jet pods are an unreliable indicator, dealers sold them by the scads and installed them on about as many cars as they and others later removed them from. They were option code FL and very commonly ordered on cars that didn't have them as standard equipment.

Ok Owen, I can buy that bit on the pods, I have however never seen them on a car it has not supposed to be on.Either way that car is not a Mayfair. It has the 200 style rear window. The Mayfair had the three piece rear window. Its a 200 deluxe. Gotta be.I would bet It has pods as well.A side view would confirm the wheel base too. Brian

As I already said, can't be a Mayfair, too many doors.
