Just a quick note on our progress. Everyone involved with this project has a different goal. When will it be done? Stay tuned ..... 1/2 of the wirimg is done, about ready for paint on the top and rear fenders but right now, that will have to wait. We have an appointment with the interior guy. Normally it takes a year to get in to his shop. We got lucky. This one won't fit in the trailer so it has to be driven. I only have till 8/20 to make it pretty and driveable. We're working on making it driveable this week so it will make the trip. Fast! It needs a trip to the exhaust shop too. Pics to come ...

It doesn't matter what I need for this project. This time I mentioned wiring and he brings me another box of fun from his collection. He said he is running out of parts for this project and now he might have just enough room for the car since they are almost all together now. I played with what he brought me and wired up a 3 way switch for his trunk release motor. Look close lower left.

Roger knows how to push me when I need it to get things done. He brings me another box of toys. There is alyways a suprise in every box. Most of the time it is a part that we need. When he dosen't have the part we need he pulls pranks and we still get a box of fun. I think he is the one that put the snake skin in a box when we restored the Taxi. Red opened it and threw the box across the shop. This time was no different. She asked where this box came from (see the second pic) and I told her it was for Rogers car. She wouldn't touch it. The first pic is the contents. Look close. There is a surprise in there too. I found it tonight. When I got the final part for the turn signals that are in that pic and tried a right turn the first time, crap, the phone rang again ....... wait a minute where is my phone? That's not my phone ....... that's over by the car ..... GOT ME!

The second is a horn from HotWheels (That's another story) Easy wiring once you understand a relay. (from HotWheels)

The interior guy will be in town tomorrow and he told me to get everything together. Look what we found. To enjoy this pic you will have to remember what a 71 Firebird automatic shifter looks like. This is the center button you push to put it in gear. Roger style. He loves his Packards!

Sorry for the late update. We have neglected our projects for a day or two due to the office renovation. Only 9 days left before interior on the 50. I'll send a memo to the new office manager. I'll be busy playing with toys if he takes the job. Someone has to set here.

I missed the last opening at the interior shop over a month ago. We get another shot tomorrow. We used the extra time to add a few extras like a last minute throttle assembly. The door cylinders are in place. They open all the way on their own. Flip a switch and the trunk opens on its own too. Ran out of time on the body and paint but we're getting close. I'll take pictures of our trip.
