Check out this car. The "Full restoration" for 5 years has rusty screws, mickey mouse radio, crimp on modern plastic wiring and bumpers that are not chrome. Also has a beautiful steering wheel. To each his own.

It looks to me like the horns, relay, coil bracket, and the voltage regulator are lacking in "restoration" as well. BUT, it wouldn't take much to make it perfect if the price is right.

In any case, it's better than one with an SBC in it.

And I bet you that steering wheel is full of cracks under that cover.

Hi

That '41 120 belongs to a friend of mine in our PAC region. True, it isn't correct in every detail, the fellow who restored it is not a professional. He does like to drive his cars, restores them for just that, not to collect trophies. I think you would find the car to be mechanically well sorted out.

If you decide to pursue a purchase, I do believe you will not find a more straight shooter when you get to know him, a genuinely nice guy.

Steve

Sometimes I wonder how people who pick apart other people's cars would feel if the shoe was on the other foot....

It's a nice car, I'd drive it just how it is.

I guess the point is if the car was just put on eBay for sale, no big deal. But a "full 5 year restoration" with scabbed on crimped plastic wiring is not a restoration in any sense of the word and maybe not safe either.

I didn't take it as "picking on" someone's car, but rather a description that doesn't match the product. We all have seen cars described as "restored" where all it meant was a quickie paint job or something similar or even less, but in this case the seller's description is "Full Restoration 5 years" and with that kind of description, our expectations are for a better product.
