The 55-56 bezel, which is die-cast pot metal, seems prone to breakage. Is that becaause some clods pry them out with a screwdriver or is it the spring applies far too much tension to that die-cast part? I think I am going to reduce the spring tenssion on mine. I have a bezel on which I am going to try to effect a repair. If succeasful I will post it here. If not, I will keep my mouth shut.

I am sure the X-mas package traffic is causing the delay. You may want to call David and ask him when it shipped.

The package arrived today; complete switch with light, bezel and key. Not "mint", but in excellent condition....no "stress cracks" in the bezel. I am a happy camper :)

May I suggest reducing the spring tension so that not so much force is applied to the ears of the bezel? I'm going to do that with mine.

It's not the spring pressure and i would'nt change it. The problem is either like Rb says: "heavy handedness". OR more precisely, it is just a very flimsy design regardless. Vibration is the main culprit, espececialy on flimsy design. More l;ike VERY flimsy.

I'm trying come up with a fix for the bezel but there is just not enuf meat on either the bezel nor the sw. body to effect a good repair.

Hopefully, Al K will find a good one for me this weekend.

Al. Did u get the email i sent u a day or two ago????
