Great shot -- interesting amount of equipt -- or lack thereof carried. A small fire extinguisher or two, some hose and maybe something on the other side. Barely large enough for the crew so no big ladders or anything like we are used to seeing today. Almost makes you wonder how they managed to get a fire out.

I now see that this firetruck is already show in the 1911 photo pages by BigKev.
What is really cool is that the firetruck still exists. Currently it is on loan to the National Packard Museum in Warren, Ohio from the City of Detroit. Those of you that attended the 2006 PAC National Meeting would have seen it on display at the PPG. The NPM has a photo of the firetruck on their webpage under Photo Gallary > 2006 National Meeting.

Odd that it is right hand drive. Were the 1911 passenger cars right or left hand drive?

Packard 8
Almost all American cars were RHD ( except Autocar) until the number of Model T Fords made LHD the default. The switch was mostly complete by 1914 or so. The last two holdouts were Pierce Arrow ,1920, and Stutz, 1923. Regards John Harley

I believe the Model Thirty was the last right-hand steered Packard.
