On the first pic (marked Marion) what is leaning on the drivers side front wheel? A cudgel? A fender, soon to be lost? A fungo bat?

When two men ride the same horse, one has to be in the back...

Hi
The large open touring is a 1927-28 Lincoln Model L Sport Phaeton by Brunn. It appears to be a dual cowl, one can just see cowl and folded windshield behind Mr. Johnson. If that Marion is Torpedo or Bobcat, it was one of those rakish roadburners like the Stutz Bearcat or Mercer Raceabout. Harry C. Stutz was involved with the company before he left to build his own cars. The fellow had good taste in cars, he must have had Packards too! Steve
