In 1958 we bought a 1955 Packard Patrician I started to buy parts from Studebaker and Standard Surplus. In 1967 Studebaker offered me a dealership to purchase parts. After going to pick up parts I got to know the warehouse manager. As they no longer had any use for the cards and knowing I liked Packard's he offered them to me.

Roscoe,

Sorry for not responding sooner. I was at the PI Meet, and have been "off the grid" since Thursday night. I am downloading everything now. I will get them converted into a PDF document and uploaded soon.

Regards,

Thank you 56executive for the swatch cards and BigKev for getting them to us so fast. These will help many of us who have questions about our interior materials. I can now be comforted knowing that the materials I am using to restore my interior will be close to the original

Glad to see common sense prevail. I would be happy to reshape these as may be needed so you could do something more interesting......

Thank you Roscoe!

I am wondering if these samples could be put in chronological order by series and model identifier tags earliest through later.

I was also very interested to see that the materials were carried on successive models and for more than one year. eg. 2552 trim 801 carried through to my 2652.

If someone wants to take the task of rearranging the PDF file in year/model order, please do! I think that would be a worth project.

But the other thing which I think would be better is this:

I could do is batch upload them into a new category in the Photo Archive. So if I could get someone to rename the actual images to something like this:

Model Number, Fabric Name/Type number/Trim Code, and Packard part number

Or some other kind of descriptive searchable name, and them send them to me, then I can do a batch import and they would be searchable on any of that information.

Or someone can simple upload each photo one at a time, and give it a detailed description. Either way. Currently the PDF is bookmarked using the Packard Part number which is what Roscoe used for the file names, which is great for specifically identifying the piece.

The end result would be something like how the Part Plates work in the Photo Archive.

I would just need someone to do the heavy lifting here as I don't have the time to do it justice.

I have downloaded the file and will attend to this during the next blizzard. I want to think over the naming for a bit: will send a sample or two when started.
