Pulled the front seat of the newest Packard (22nd Series) and found; one dime, two pennies, one Marlboro cigarette (unsmoked), and an old beer bottle. Unfortunately there was no spring, no attachment tab, and no stabilizing rod with teeth.

Not the sort of thing I normally check for when looking at a car... oh well.

I'll get back to you when I have a chance to pull the seat from the '50. I need to straighten out some upholstery trim before the next car event so I'll be working on it sometime this week (between working on getting some working brakes for the '49).
