Well folks, it is now official.

The 1st Annual PackardInfo.com River Fun Run in Laughlin, NV at the Riverside Resort and Casino will take place Nov 10-13th, 2011 (Veterans Day Weekend).

This is a free event and is open to all Packard Pre-War and Post-War Packard vehicles, Henny Professional cars, and Packard-Powered Studebakers/Hudsons/Nashes. This is non-funded, cost free event, except for your own travel expenses (Hotel, travel, food, trinkets, etc).

We have a discount code set up with the hotel, and have a block of rooms at a special price for the event. So if you are thinking about going, please book early to secure a room at this price. Please see the attached flyer for more details, hotel info, and discount code. More information to come on Tech Sessions and other particulars as the event draws closer.

Everyone is welcome to come out for this Inaugural event. We are hoping to have vehicles from the local PI and PAC chapters in addition to the cars from Packardinfo members in attendance.

Pleased to announce that the dinner on Saturday will be held at the the Mojave "King of Steaks" Steakhouse in Bullhead City, AZ at 5pm.

While this is a non-judging car show. Don Laughlin will secretly select his favorite car and we will award that at the Dinner that evening. I think Jim can explain more on that.

Also, we have two Tech Sessions scheduled for the Meet, and we are looking for volunteers to help and/or ideas for them. Please speak up if you wish to lend a hand.

Just an update.

Jim has informed me that the first registrations slips have begun to arrive. If you are thinking about coming, lets get those slips in (doesn't cost anything) as that helps us with planning and space requirements.

Also we are thinking of adding a Museum visit to the agenda. We really want to make this an active event with lots of driving and tire kicking. We encourage everyone to come out, even if you cant bring a car. I am sure we can find an open passenger seat in a Packard in attendance for the driving portions of the meet.

You blokes are so lucky . . . . us 'Ossies' have to sit here and just hope a free airline ticket will fall out of the sky.

Anyhow, we'll have a barbeque instead.

Larry, who knows... maybe you will find your way over. If not, then please do hold the PackardInfo.com in Oz and we will have an international event!

I am really looking forward to getting together with folks from all over!
