Packards International Swap Meet
Sunday, Feb 4th 2007
DoubleTree Hotel - Orange, California

The swap meet is free to get into and is open from 8am - 2pm in the rear Hotel Parking lot.

I will be there bright and early looking for parts for my '54. So if you see, me please feel free to come up and say hello and also wish me a Happy Birthday.

I'll be the big/tall guy wearing the Woodie Wagon Hawaiian shirt.

Well here is my report from the Swap Meet today:

I ran across some very nice people, and several people found me and my woodie T-Shirt. I also managed to haggle the following parts for my '54:

4 Good Matching Junior Rims (off the same car)
Carb Rebuild Kit for my Carter 2102S
The front grille emblem bezel
A good front bumper guard cross bar (with splash pan and licence plate bracket)
A Heavy Duty drum puller (now I'm in business)
A brand new power coated battery retainer

All of the above for less than $225

I did take the camera with me, and will try to get pictures of all the cars uploaded into the Pictures section on the website over the next few days. I went directly from the swap-meet to Vegas (about 300+ miles) so once things settle down here I will get to uploading them.

I just uploaded all the pics I took at the PI swap meet into the Packard Pictures area. I need some help identifing all the years/models. I took all of these on the hurry and didn't have time to get any info from the owners.

I found this pretty interesting. It is a connecting rod off some HUGE Packard engine. Possible from a PT Boat Engine or similar. It was in the original NOS packaging. The crank end was larger than my hand, and I could put my fist through it with touching anything.

I take it you don't need those wheels I have anymore, then? Figures..... the $%&&*$#% snow is just starting to melt around here so I could go up there!

Kev, Thanks for the pictures. I recognize a few of the cars as being for sale. That maroon 1940 Super Eight coupe is for sale at $46000. Wish I had the money for that one! I can identify the years and models of almost all the cars so I will get working on it. Number one is a 1936 810 or 1937 Cord 812. Is it leaking anti-freeze?

BIGKEV: The fourth picture you took is of a 1954 Packard Pacific Hardtop Coupe body style number 5477 with a base price $3825.00.

Picture 23 is of a 1953 Packard Caribbean

Picture 3 is of a 1956 Packard Patrician Sedan boby style 5682

Picture 4 is of a 1951 or 1952 Mayfair Hardtop Coupe body style 2467 for 1951 and body style 2577 for 1952.

Picture 9 is of a 1948 Super Eight 4 door sedan body style 2272, or it could possibly be body style 2262.

Picture 1 is of 1937 Cord 812 Beverly because of the becasue of the visible truck.

Eric,

Are you asking me about the wheels? If so I was never in need of any wheels.
