Ultramatic Test Gauge fittings

So I picked up this Ultramatic test gauge set last year on ebay, but it is missing all the various fittings and adapters for connecting to the test ports on the ultramatic. Does anyone know, or have a list of the various pieces I need? I want to go pick them up before I crawl back under the car again. I believe the pieces are elbows and reduces. Just need to know the difference sizes and types (compression, pipe, etc). Thanks!

It looks as if you are somewhat set. Looking at an old TU, every port I can get to (can't see all) is 1/8 pipe on the outside and needs the straight fitting as shown on your top hose. The service manual does have you make a special tee fitting in checking converter out pressure. Inside the pan, for throttle pressure there is a 1/8 elbow (looks like street or a 45) needed in addition but without the special adapter setup and pan, don't think you can measure those. There was a larger fitting somewhere but think it was on regular ultra.

Interesting that the advert for the test tools shows the gauge was sold with a test pan. I wonder if that only applied to the earlier Ultras.

Roscoe, thanks for the pictures of all the fittings.

I wonder why ones are required for the GearStart/Twin Ultras

You need the test pan setup on both to have room for the pressure hose to bend out of the valve body and to exit the pan. There is also a "window" on the side of adapter so you can get wrenches in to adjust the throttle valve. Consists of a pan, adapter and extensions for the oil suction or pickup tubes. Without the adapter, I believe the main fitting you will need on the twin for your DD tests is the 1/8 pipe and the special one for converter out if you wanted to check as many others as possible while there.

I'm wondering if there is enuf room in the stock pan to allow for some hoses to be permanatly connected to the transmission ports. Connect the other end of the hoses to a couple of ports sweated into the side of the pan. THen connecting TEST gauge hoses at any given time for diagnostics becomes rather ez.
