So who is working on what this long upcoming weekend?

For me, I need to do a little garage cleanup and get any unsold parts up off the floor and stashed away. Then I will start painting the underside of the roof. Also the back seat is coming so I can start pretty the floor area.

Saturday I will be in San Diego for a BBQ and Monday's the 4th which is also my wife's Birthday, so garage time will be limited. Sunday looks to be the money day for settings stuff done.

Might start cleaning some small engine parts this weekend, but Friday night I'll be sitting over the dugout at rangers stadium watching me some baseball with my love! Monday no plans really.

Taking a Packard inspired road trip! We're taking Al's 1955 Patrician with AC to Roanoke, VA (about 600 miles) and meeting him. He's bringing me 4 better doors, rear fenders, and a better fuel tank from Don Koller. Might try and get some sight seeing in along the way, but we're not really sure yet.

Wow! This thread is full of people doing fun things with their Packards. It's always nice to hear stories about people doing fun things with their Packards. Hope to see more if this kind of discussion.

Well last weekend I had the pleasure of meeting one of our forum members who is doing some modifying to his '50 and made the engine / trans available locally. I picked up the package and while eating lunch got a call from an individual who really wanted the engine. Upon delivering the engine I discovered this person was a member of a tiny, but local PAC region. We were invited to join the region and I thought "you can never have to many Packard friends" so we did. Thanks to a call from Flackmaster Friday, I had great fun and met friends from Packard Info and new Packard friends.

Since last weekend was full of so much great Packard fun, I think this weekend I will resume cleaning and prepping the '40 for engine reassembly. Of course I am now chomping at the bit to prepare the newly acquired OD package for installation in the '40. this will be the same operation (and OD package) I did in the '39 some years back.

With any luck, I will have more to post about progress on the '40 after the long weekend.

I will not be driving the 115C Convertible Coupe in the neighborhood July 4th parade. It is too hot and too hard on the car. We have done this for the past three years, and will take a break and be bystanders this year. May take the seats out of the '55 Clipper and dye the faded windlaces.

Saturday - Youngest son, Gregory, is getting married to the beautiful Emma. Dad was asked if some Packards could be provided for the wedding. And they can be, thanks to Jeff(PAC052), Michael and Chris(starliner) with their '51 200 Deluxe Sedan, '54 Convertible and '54 Clipper Super Club Sedan respectively. Plus Kath and I will be going in the '41 120 Club Coupe. As can be seen there's a theme for the wedding cars, all early '50's. These are the style of Packards favoured by both my sons as well as their respective fiance and spouse.

Sunday - PACA's monthly run. This time to The Australiana Pioneer Village at Wilberforce where I'd normally meet up with everybody at the run starting point at 9:30am. But seeing I'm taking Kath's sister, Margaret, to the airport I'll go straight to the run venue and arrive a little late. There, there'll be Packards, Packard people, a slice of Australian pioneering life and a good time to be had by all.

Monday - Although it's 4th of July here too, no holiday, no parades, etc, etc. Instead, expect to be at the workshop so there'll be Packards at least.

If my '47 isn't sold by July 1 (Canada Day) I will be at the local casino "Cruiser Day" show with the Packard and possibly a walk down to the Marina Park on the shores of THunder Bay to watch the fireworks.
