I guess I'll get used to the new format, but I liked the old one where you might review several previous posts up to the current one. Many times I am catching up on some subject and now I have to select each individual post.

Randy's issue was just a viewing preference setting on his side. Everyone should be using the "FLAT" forum view mode. Clicking on the VIEW MODE button lets you change it. If you don't see the "FLAT" option that means you are already set to "FLAT" mode, and there is nothing you have to change.

Just another update...had a couple of outages today. It appears another virtual server was not being a good neighbor and was sucking up resources on the physical server. Luckily when I contact support with the new server company, someone actually answers and takes care of the issue.

So still working out a few issues and trying to find a server node with good neighbors that are not going to affect our performance. This may take a couple more days to get completely worked out.

Fatal error at the bottom line of the model info. The error only happens when you logged out! It reads:

"Fatal error: Call to a member function isAdmin() on a non-object in /var/www/vhosts/packardinfo.com/httpdocs/xoops/html/modules/modelinfo/view-model.php on line 283"

Tchnical/hardware problems seem to be spreading thru other communications infrastructure. Recently land line communications were intermittent here in the local area for about 3 days. In my rather amatuer investigations i am surprised to learn that there are still many many land lines (traditional home type telephones, NOT cell) still in use.

Perhaps a trend is forming. Who knows. We'll see.

Mite have to return to smoke signals and beating on drums maybe???

Gerd,

That error was always there, just no one ever reported it. It is fixed now.

Thanks!

So far everything is looking good this morning. CPU load looks good, memory utilization is excellent, and throughput values are wonderful. Running a full backup right now.

Truly a international thing here:

-Donations came in from 5 countries to help defray some of the costs.
-Server Hosting Company is based in HQ'd in New Zealand.
-Server is hosted at a data center in Phoenix, AZ.

Jim I may send you to kick the server if I need to!

Based on future server load I can add a assign a second processor to the server if needed. Also I may have them do automatic backups on their side for faster recovery is all hell ever breaks loose. This would be in addition to the backups that I run between the server and my local PC now.

As long as my server neighbors play nice I think we should be pretty much all set. Still working out a couple issues with the chat room, but otherwise, things are looking good.
