If I'm posting this and it's already been discussed, i apologize. Off the bat, I find it interesting the way in which he even spells the car's name.

Can't begin to count the times I started to spell it that way. Guess it has to do with the way one wants to pronounce and place the accent.

As to the car, WOW. That is one complete restoration. Finding or fixing some parts might get really interesting. I'd say that's at least a 3 parts car job. Even with a Caribbean, unless you own the shop, cast your own top pieces, and get things wholesale would you ever come close to breaking even or even see light at the tunnel end.

Looks like it was only found after the barn fell on it.

I wouldn't take it for scrap. There doesn't appear to be enough metal left in the car to make it worthwhile

But then, who does? Even if you started with a good, complete and solid car, it's extremely difficult to "break even," let alone come even close... if you're building a competitive show car, that is.

I agree you could never come close. I changed a word and instead of doubting the possibility of ever coming close it made the statement sound like one would. My bad.

Too bad the hood wasn't open. Wonder if anything Caribbean is left under there--minor inexpensive items like dual carb and air cleaner setup.

Notice that there are no photos of the engine compartment showing what is left,if anything, of the 374 V-8 and the dual 4bbl carbs. I wonder if you pay extra for the concrete blocks and wood pieces??

The 55 doesn't have a 374 cid engine, it has a 352 cid engine. That is if there is even a drivetrain in the car. But who knows, a little elbow grease and polish and wax this could still be a wreck.
