New to the Super-Eight Packard World

I just purchased a 1948 Packard Super-Eight w/ a 327 (22nd Series) Touring Sedan. I am so excited to get her back on the road.

The car came with a Golden Anniversary Manual? is this correct that she may be one or was this 1949-50 only?

Also, I am local to Orange County and looking to sell a few extra parts: Front/Rear Bumpers, Front Grill, Hub Caps, etc...

I would appreciate any info that I should be prepared for when getting her back to the road.

Thank you!

Andrea

The Golden Anniversary model refer to the 23rd Series normally. Just look inside at the drawings - the trim differences should make it easy to tell which book you have.

Congrats on your acquisition!

I, too have a 22nd series Super Eight, so I may have gone through some of the issues you may be about to experience. Please feel free to contact me if I can be of assistance.

What is the condition of the bumpers/grill? Mine are badly in need of rechroming, and my medallion on the grill is chipped. I'm also looking for one headlight trim ring. My door handles are badly pitted too. Please let me know.

Good luck, and welcome aboard!
