In 1907 Packard opened an agency in Paris. In1908 they sold 45 Packard's and by 1909 there were over 200 registered Packard's in Paris.

Another interesting thing from Guscha's link "In 1947 a Packard hearse carried Henry Ford's corpse to his grave." Never new that! You would think it would have been a Lincoln or something.

October 12, 1950: The Society of Motion Picture Art Directors proclaimed the 24th Series Packard as the most beautifull car of the year.

5/3/1949: Packard celebrates 50th Anniversary with a dealer driveaway of 2,000 Gold Packards from Utica Proving Grounds.

Noticed this old recently when searching for something else. Now resurrecting it as Packard milestones, etc come to pass.
