Paint job started

I just figured some folks would like to see a paint job going on my 1950 Deluxe 8 Touring Sedan. Here are a couple of beginning photos. I just took photos of the newly painted top today.

The car will be 2-tone using factory colors. The bottom will be Packard Blue and the top and firewall will be Maumee Maize (yellow). I saw some factory photos of a 2-tone paint job but apparently they did not offer it as an option in the 23rd Series. Anyway I like it, and this car is a period modification anyway (early 50s style).

I am replating all the chrome too, as long as the car is apart. The cost of the paint and chrome is way more than I paid for the car, but hopefully it will be worth it.

Good start Fred and it is worth it if it is what YOU want. I do things to satisfy myself - not any critics. I do the same with the train collection. I do it to satisfy myself.
