Re: Packard's 1951 to 1956

I have seen on occasion questions regarding replacing gas tank sending units, getting them rebuilt or finding a replacement from another make and model of car (Ford?). Today I received the Kanter catalog and on page 68 Kanter has started offering, new, gas tank sending units which supply a replacement gasket and locking ring for $95.00. I hope this isn't terribly old information and everybody knew it except me. Hope this helps somebody.

Regards, Steve

And Kanter's new repro 51-56 gas tanks and tank kits with straps and sending units are a project in progress and should be available reasonably soon. It sure will be nice to have a good source for new tanks.

Good news on both counts. The sender price is in line with some Ford vendors and a little higher than others but still reasonable for those wanting a good known item. Hope the tanks work out the same way.
