Hi folks - I am going to give you the worlds first view of Dirty Dorthy. Last year the grandkids and me built Black Jack the Garage Gorilla for the back of our 1940 Packard. He has been to many local car meets here and we've had a ball with him. (Jack has a built in remote fart machine in him) Most laugh but a few give discussed looks. Jack looked lonley there so this year we are building him some company.
We decided on a female Foster Farms Imposter Chicken. We voted and her name will be Dirty Dorthy. These are the first pictures of her. She is not like the Foster Farms chickens. Not a hand puppet, but a real dummy. While I know this space is for Packard projects, if no one complains I will keep you up dated on her progress. After all she will perminatly live in our Packard.

Ron,

On the contrary, I for one will not complain but rather compliment you on a lighter side to the sport. I'm looking forward to watching her progress. I see some serious wood-working skills in there with that head and beak.

Shopping trip from hell
Ok Gents - today I had to go to Wal Mart shopping. I needed beak paint and figured I would pick up some of the other odds and ends I needed.
The paint was easy, but I really felt odd looking through the ear ring section looking for the gaudiest pair available. Then I had to venture into the ladies skivvy section. The old girl needs some. It was real difficult figuring how to ask the salesgirl what size to buy. I could tell she was hiding a smile and holding in her laughter the whole time. Being single for 30 years the only experience I now remember is how to remove them, and I was never very lucky at that.
I got through it, so the rest of the weekend will be spent glueing feathers and painting things.
Till next time RedRon

Ok the Grandkids came over this weekend and other than the eyelashes, Dorty's head is complete. Needless to say my garage had chicken feathers EVERYWHERE. The crew will be back tomorrow and we will start the skeleton.

That's great! The expression and cigarette hanging out reminds me of an old warhorse that claimed to be a relative. Give her a beer to hold, a rich vocabulary, and the illusion will be complete.

She's coming on a treat, love the ruby red lipstick. And the grandkids certainly are enjoying it all. You've got a real talent there Ron. Can't wait to see more as she progresses.
