Wanted to share some photos of a Custom 8 convertible that has come into Kanter Auto Restoration. We have been given the task of cleaning up and making it mechanically sound by the owner of this low mileage (23,770) unrestored beauty.The car has been off the road for sometime so we have gone through the engine, brake and suspension system. The goal is to preserve as much of the originality as possible. The seats will be redone saving the red leather while replacing the cloth inserts.

Here is a great video of a cold start on the Packard. After the carburetor was cleaned and reset back to factory settings. It was just a matter of 3 pumps of the throttle prime and it starts right up.

This appears to be the Agate Blue Metallic paint color. The same as my 1948 Deluxe which is also a unrestored original with now has only 17 thousand miles on it. This was a short lived color for that model year.
