I have been looking through the Packard literature and online for a method to remove the windshield wiper lower mounts (has the cam feature) without any luck. I see a screw there but I don't see an way to remove the lower mount from the body panel. This is for a 1955 Packard Clipper Deluxe. The illustrated parts list labels it as:
Group Number 31.3772 - CABLE AND PIVOT SHAFT ASSEMBLY-CLEANER DRIVE

Any assistance would be appreciated and I thank you in advance for your help.

However I invite you to include your '55 Clipper Deluxe in the Packard Owner's Registry.

Wipers are covered in Section 13 Instruments of the 55-6 service manualhttps://www.packardinfo.com/xoops/html/downloads/servicemanual5556/Sect13_Instruments.pdf Instructions for removing the various wiper components are covered and the pivot shaft removal instructions are on page 5.
