Gorgeous Packard and one of my favorite years and models! I hope it will find a good home where someone can cherish it as Ole did.

I've spent many miles as a passenger and occasional driver in Ole's Executive; a lovely car and a very reliable touring car. If its the kind of Packard you desire, it deserves your serious consideration.

Hi guys. First time poster. I have just purchased a 1956 custom clipper here in Australia. I'm pretty sure the trim was redone many moons ago. My trim code is 57 as is this car. Could you tell me if you know if the trim patterns on this car are original or a custom design (as I presume the trim was redone on this executive). I would like to restore mine back to original. Any help would be greatly appreiciated.

G'day (Philly).
to another Aussie and welcome to PackardInfo, but sorry I can't help with your query.

However, I invite you to include your '56 Custom Clipper in the Packard Owner's Registry.

As I'm Secretary of the Packard Automobile Club of Australia, if you're not already a member I invite you to join us. Membership information is available in the Website link, if you're interested.

Hello Phil

Is your 1956 Clipper Australian-delivered? Can't see from the pic if it's right hand drive.

I have a 1956 Clipper Deluxe which was at least partially assembled here by Kellow-Falkiner in Melbourne. It has what looks like a locally applied engine number on the top front of the block (starts with a "P"). There is a pic of the car in the registry, but I am currently redoing the paint. Same colour as pic, but it was originally yellow/white.

Regards

Brian Wilson

Hi Brian. Yes, it's a right hand drive and i'm nearly certain it was one of the handful that came out to Aus in 56. Not sure about the stamped number. I'll check tomorrow and let you know. Do you know of any others than ours that are still around? Maybe this could be a question for Ozstatman too? I'll post some pics 😁
