1951-53 gauge differences

I am trying to figure out the differences between the gauges for 51-53. Is this right? Base models had gauges with black outer and metal inner faces? Higher models had color keyed outers with metal inners? 52 was the reverse with black or color keyed inners and metal outers?

Thanks.
John

If it wasn't raining I'd take a look at my 1951 200 to see what it has. I'm sure many on here will know the answer to your question.

Probably not the best of photos but this is the cluster from a senior 1951 which, in this case, is a Henney-Packard. It should be typical of the 300 and Patrician 400. I have a really nice cluster but it is currently inaccessible.

Didn't some of the 53's have ruby red faces? One of the years had a green-ish color too, right?

Thanks. To recap:
51 & 53 have darker outers and lighter inner faces
52 has lighter outers and darker inners
51 & 53 had white lettering and silver poiter caps
52 is the same for 200's but 300/400 have gold lettering and gold center caps
200's have black with silver faces
300's 400's have either two tone green or Maroon & silver faces. Maybe others too.

Thanks!

The Factory Parts list may note color variations for those same parts. So that can at least show you all the possible options.
