Hey Packard Groupies ! Just picked up a 54 Panama Super Clipper that is phenomenal shape. Runs like a top.
Question is, where can I find a replacement carpet kit for it ?

Nice! I saw that car for sale a little while back. Looked like it was in very nice condition.

Check with Kanter for carpets. They should have the correct patterns.

Anything else it needs? It looks like it's missing the little trim pieces on the front that go between the bumper and grill extension. Really nice looking car.

Probably the most authentic carpet sets would come from SMS in the Pacific Northwest.

Thanks Kevin. I wondered what went in those holes you mentioned in the grill area. Guess I need to start looking for those.

One of my most favorite cars from appearance and the highest development of the straight eight. Will look forward to more photos. Is it gear start, regular Ultramatic or stick?

Did you mean push button or key start?

Key start would have been stock but if someone did add a pushbutton, since the 54 ign switches were somewhat "delicate" and 54s used the earlier bezels making the 54 key start ign switch a one year only item I could see a scenario where the switch failed and someone could not find a replacement. If it only has 3 positions an owner might have chosen to install the far more robust and easier to find 49-53 ign switch and resort to a pushbutton for the start function.
