Can anybody recommend what radial tire dimension is most suitable for replacing the old diagonal 7.60x15. White side Cokers?
Thanks.

That question as been asked and answered, or at least discussed, many times here. A simple search brought up this.

I think I go for Coker 225x75x15. Have anybody had any experience using these on 56 Clipper? Any recommendations?
Thanks.

I have the Coker BFG Silvertown 225/75R15s on my '56 Deluxe. I have been happy with them so far. No problems around town or on the highway.

Before you pull the trigger on the Cokers, may I make a suggestion? Diamondback's Auburn Classic tubeless radial ply tires come in the sizes that were used when your Packard was new. They have the vintage bias ply look with modern materials. They come in whitewall or blackwall. Well made, smooth and round and easy to balance. I have a set on my non-Packard and most pleased. I am a fan.

I agree with JWL and have Diamondbacks on several of my cars. I do not recommend Coker tires.

Ross.
As it's impossible for me to get hold of Diamondbacks, I wonder what's wrong with Cokers? As the cost to change the tires is approx USD 1.800,00, I want to make a "wise" decision! Anyhow is the recommended size 225x75x15 (in case of flat tire change rear)?

I observe on customer's cars that the Cokers need a lot of weight on them to balance. I have not observed that with the Diamondbacks.

The 225-75-15 size is very suitable for your car.

Will Diamondback not ship overseas? I am surprised you can not get them.

The freight, handling, customs and 25% VAT make them too expensive. I have found some Finnish made tires in Norway; Kontio Whitepaw Classic 225/75R15. As this seize is approx 20mm wider than the 7.60x15,I was afraid this could cause trouble.
