Removing driver's side upper control arm.

Hello everyone!

I'm in the process of doing the upper control arm bushings on my 53. The passenger side was easy peazy because of the access panel.

The driver's side is looking to be pretty difficult so far.

Does anyone has any advice on how to remove the upper control arm once the hardware has been removed?

Any easy way to do with without removing a bunch of parts?

Remove the bolt retaining the inner fender that is just in front of the access window. Pull the sheet metal out a bit and you will have no trouble.

Hey Ross, do you know if I can torque the inner bushing nuts (outside of the shaft) while in the air (suspension hanging)? Or should they be torqued while the car is sitting on the ground like most cars?

The manual doesn't specify.

Absolutely must be done with the weight of the car on the wheels.

Okay, great. That's what I figured but wasn't entirely sure. Thank you so much!
