I just bought a Packard 120 supposed to be from 1941 but I have a doubt. Can someone see in the USA the origin of this car with the following numbers :
Firewall number : < 577I59 >
Sérial number : 265 EJ 107344
Engine number : U5EG107344
Engine block number : 9.13.38

Thank you to anyone who wants to help me

Maybe better posting in the forum appropriate for the year. This is for 1957-1958 Packards.

Patrick,

Besides Don's comments, I can add that photos will help in the identification, especially of the vehicle data plate - some of those numbers quoted are "strange". The firewall number, I think, is in the range for '41 Packards but what I assume is a casting date seems to indicate an engine change at some stage. The engine and serial numbers are ?????

As others have said, please post in the pre war section, and attach or link to pictures of the numbers and your car/engine.

'55 400. Needs aesthetic parts put back on, and electrical system sorted.
'55 Clipper Deluxe. Engine is stuck-ish.

Your body serial number <577159> places your car body at about the midpoint of 1941 production. The serial (vehicle?) number and motor number bear no semblance to the standard Packard formats.
