Rather than harass people to include their Packards in the Registry I'll try a change of tack and thank those who include their Packards there.

So thanks to:

proofyeq for his '55 Clipper Deluxe Touring Sedan
http://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/registry/View.php?ID=613

And to 2470Packard for 3 entries from Norway
'29 640 Roadster
http://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/registry/View.php?ID=614
'29 633 Standard Eight Touring
http://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/registry/View.php?ID=615
And I especially like the pic of his '34 Super Eight Club Sedan although it does leave something to the imagination

Hi Mal

Thanks again for your trouble keeping the registry going.

I uploaded a few of our mutual friends' (Philip Cronje) Packards a few months ago as I was not sure if he would be willing or able to do it himself. He has since shown a keen interest in the forum. I would like to help him to upload his other cars as well as changing the ones I uploaded to his ownership. Would this last change be possible?

I think it would be worthwhile to get the cars on as most are right hand drive models.

Thanks
Barrie

Barrie,

Sorry for the slow response, I thought I had responded but it must still be circling somewhere in cyberspace because it's not here!

I doubt there is a way to change from one PackardInfo member to another for Owner Registry entries. That is, unless BigKev can weave some type of digital magic? Presuming he can't, the only way then is for Philip to duplicate your entries, I think there are 11 of them. Once the fresh entries are loaded I can then delete the ones you originally loaded.

Two more added to the Registry.

In addition to Bill Jones Jr's '48 Custom Eight Victoria Convertible,

http://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/registry/View.php?ID=620

There's GHMD's '56 Caribbean Convertible Coupe. Well that's the description, but for one deficit in Packard recognition skills it looks like a Studebaker Hawk to me.

http://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/registry/View.php?ID=621

What do we have here? And Kev, if it's a Hawk, should it be in the Registry as a Packard? If it is to be deleted I suggest that, as Webmaster, you contact the owner to advise him of that. Just noticed, the same car is in Recent Photos as a 56 Studebaker Golden Hawk!

I don't see why it shouldn't be allowed, it has a Packard engine in it after all. If you don't allow that, then I'd say that the '57 and '58 Packards shouldn't be allowed either. The '56 GH is more of a Packard than the '57-'58s, IMHO.

My guess is he accidentally uploaded the wrong picture, easily correctable.

And BTW, if Bill's '48 is HALF as nice as his '41, then it's definitely worth the price he's asking for it. I've seen the '41 in person, it was parked outside my house in a trailer a few weeks ago, and is drop dead gorgeous!
