Interesting, but kind of a hodgepodge of parts. They say it is a 52 but it has 53 side trim, a junior front bumper, and a senior rear bumper. Not sure if the teeth on the front grille belong there or not. If it is a bottom of the line junior, teeth do not belong there. Front seat is obviously not stock. But I guess if you are going to rally with it, authenticity may not be a major concern.
Ken

Edit: Upon further consideration, the front bumper may be correct for 1952 but the rear bumper is not, believe it to be a 1953 senior bumper. The plain 200 had no teeth. The 200 Deluxe had teeth.

Hell yeah! That's what I'm talking about. Who cares for originality here, its just plain cool. Always loved pics of old rally cars, or reproductions. Guscha surely bows a bit about some good rallies as Germany is a dominating manufacturer of pure bred racers. Did Packard ever participate on the rally scene? I know Jaguar, audi, and Mercedes definitly have.

If it wasn't for those meddling kids, and their dog too...

1952 200 deluxe touring- its a goer...but not a stopper. Just ask my neighbour about her flower bed.

Gerd,

See in your link the words "1896: An Arnold Motor Carriage and a Packard outside the Hotel Metropole in Brighton during the first London to Brighton car run.". First Packard was 1899, was it not? Pic either mis-captioned or car is mis-identified(could it be a Panhard?).

Gerd,

Again, great sleuthing work. Although the pic is not very clear the 352 may well have 6 carbs being in 2 rows of 3, many V8's of that era used that configuration of carburettion before dual 4bbl's became almost de rigueur.
