I am considering buying a 1952 Henney hearse, however the windshield is broken. Did Henney use a special windshield, or is it a regular sedan or coupe glass? Any ideas on a donor hearse for rear door glass and quarter glass?

Any help appreciated!!

Hello, I have owned 2 1953 Henney Jrs. One was a very early and it had a standard 1952 windshield. The difference between my 53's was the 52 WS had curved upper corners.

Thanks for the quick reply! From the photos I have of the hearse, and other Henney professional cars, it seems as if the windshiled looks the same as passenger car, but I just wanted to be sure.

I have had many Cadillac hearses over the years, and all of those had "commercial glass" windshields. This will be my first Packard hearse.

I don't own the hearse as of yet.. I was waiting to get a definite answer on the windshiled question. I would not bother with this hearse otherwise, but the body is arrow straight and the only rust out is on the front floor pans, as the windshield has been broken out of it for many years.

Other damage includes the passenger side rear curved glass, and rear door window, which were shot out. I will probably put another post up soon looking for these specific items.

I am quite familiar with Cadillac and Lincoln funeral vehicles, but this is my first adventure into Packard funeral cars.

The vehicle number on the metal tag reads 2513 2105.

According to the parts manual (available for free download here), the 2513 Hearse shares the same windshield part number with a large number of '51, '52 models.

Ok guys,

The hearse is now a "done deal" !!

I will be looking for a rear door glass and right side quarter panel glass, along with a few missing things, such as Henney scripts, etc.

I will update the post with some photos.
