Re: 1951 Packard 200. Charging/Starting system is Auto-lite. I need a new regulator. I went to the "X-reference index" to see if there is an after market regulator replacement listed. None shown. Can anybody add any more information besides the big three, Max,Kanter,Sandy"?
thanks.

Try your local auto parts store, it's a Standard VR-4 and they were available as of a couple of months ago. I forget just who owns the Standard brand now, but someone here will recall that. Not available as NAPA/Echlin brand last time I checked.

A better number is Standard VR-8 which matches the picture in the Packard manual. Better hurry, the last time I bought one there was only one more in the system.

Tim, my Standard Catalog shows VR-8 for 1954 with Delco.

That's right. VR-8 is 1954 Chverolet. And it works great in Packards.

Hi Tim,
My charging system is an Autolite not Delco. From what I'v read, the Autolite parts and Delco parts achieve the same results but do it differently. The parts are not interchangeable. I appreciate your help. Thanks.
