VEHICLE HISTORY/
PROJECT STATUS:
Bought this car along with 5 others. This car belonged originally to a Packard employee. the story I got was that it
was he that put the 374 and the dual 4bbl setu
on it. Also the caribbean twin scoo
hood and the senior front clip.
As soon as possible I intend to get it running and driving, then painted. Then I intend to have some fun with it. I
really want to see how this 374 twin 4bbl performs. Update 2/4/28 Well have started on this project. Have removed the
wheels and will be putting new tires on. I hooked u
a battery and got lights, but only a click out the key switch.
Waited until the battery was fully charged and tried it again and got nothing although there was a draw on the
battery. I held tension on the fan belt and rotated the fan and got the h-balancer to turn so I know the engine is
free. Removed the gas tank and sent it to the sho
for cleaning and sealing. Next on the list is to take it to install
the gas tank when it comes back, then take it to the tire sho
to install the brake master cylinder and have him check
the brakes out for pads and drums and see how they are. Once that is complete then it goes to see if it can be made to
live. Weel the carbs are cleaned and the car is running. Had to have the brake booster sent to Ed Strain to be
rebuilt. Am now in the process of shoring u
the floors. Have had to have an elec fuel pum
put in for the time being.
The car is in color and is home. Am waiting for the interior vinyl to come in.
