VEHICLE HISTORY/ PROJECT STATUS: | This car arrived at Etablissements Barbezat on April 27, 1938 and sent to Franay to be made as a coupé chauffeur (sedanca towncar) by its first owner: Mrs Anchorena Fernandez. The car was displayed on Franay's booth at the 1938 Auto show and won the Prix d'Excellence - foreign cars at Palais Chaillot on June 26th, 1947 where it was shown by Ms Dadolle Dabadie (dressed by Maggy Rouff). It was featured in the movie Adorables créatures by Christian Jaque, with Edwige Feuillère, Danièle Darrieux and Daniel Gélin. It was also featured in the movie Le gorille vous salut bien, starring Lino Ventura. It was showcased at the 22 Salon Rétromobile in Paris. Participated in Bagatelle 22 show (France). Best of show Paris Deauville 22 (France). Participated in Salon du Coupé et du Cabriolet 23 (France). Participated in Villa d'Este 23 (Italy). Participated in Concours Eurostar Vincennes 23 (France). First prize pre-194 cars at Concours européen d'état et d'élégance de Mulhouse in 23 (France). Best of show Aveny 24 (France). Second prize pre-194 cars at 48 heures de Troyes 23 (France). Third prize Rallye Paris-Granville 25 (France). Prize of honour at Saint-Cloud 25 (France). Third prize at Le Touquet 26 (France). And since, many more prizes won.
