VEHICLE HISTORY/
PROJECT STATUS:
I purchased this 1955 Packard Patrician Touring Sedan in January 212. It is a 2 owner car that has been stored in a barn since the second owner died in 21. The first owner had the car from 1955 to 197, the second from 197 to 212. I purchased the car from the late second owners 85 year old wife. It was my original intention to restore the Patrician, however within days of purchasing, I also purchased one of my dream cars - a 1951 Packard Mayfair - and the 1955 sadly must go. My budget cannot afford more than one Packard.

What I know:

This car hasn&rsquot been driven the last couple years. The tires are old and only hold air for a couple days before going low. The second owner&rsquos son said the car was driven regularly until the generator gave out and stopped charging the battery. His father disconnected wiring to generator and was going to remove and send out for restoration, but literally died unexpectedly the next day, and the car has sat since. Will need generator rebuilt and a new battery. I&rsquod check the voltage regulator too. I was told all options on this well equipped car (power windows, seats, antenna, etc.) were in working order when car was parked. The car has had one repaint, c. 197.

The interior is 1% original however the carpet is shot, the headliner has some holes, and it was home to critters for a while. Interior needs a good cleaning/detailing! However, it is complete and with new carpet, new rear seat skirt, and some steam cleaning should be presentable. The seats themselves are in good condition and very comfortable. The suspension was claimed to be in working order but after sitting for a couple years is all the way down in the rear. The hood ornament is broken. Odometer reads 3X,XXX but I don&rsquot know if these are original, owners wife was not sure. Two side windows are cracked, but they are flat glass. A piece of trim is off however it is in the trunk. Spare wheel is included. Car will need to be trailered home, unless you want to get it running in my driveway, to which you are more than welcome. I am asking $3 for the car and a good home is required. All funds from sale will benefits the restoration of my 1951 Mayfair.

Feel free to ask any questions. I am an honest guy, not trying to hide anything, just trying to find this Packard a good home. This car is worth the restoration efforts!
