INTERIOR DESCRIPTION:
The interior is in fair condition. Thew worse part is the dash. It has several cracks in the "plastic" on all three sections.
EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION:
The exterior appears to be in good condition. The front end is off the car now. The previous owner had begun a restoration and removed the engine and entire front-end (see picture). I've only found a couple of very small, nickle-sized holes in it behind the rear fender. The rest appears to be rust free.

VEHICLE HISTORY/
PROJECT STATUS:
This fine old classic has been sold and gone to a new home in upstate NY. Gene

According to the Turnquist book, production of the 17th Series started on 9/2/38. I have official paperwork that shows this car to have been originally titled on June 15, 1938 so there is something of a puzzle here. The Theft code and VN number both say this is a 1939 17th Series. I'm wondering how it got titled before production or if the Turnquist book might be incorrect. I'll need to do further research.
After being titled in 1938, it was titled again on 8/24/82 and sold on 1/1/86 to the gentleman I bought it from. I now have a clear title to it.
I am still searching through the parts to determine if I have everything and have found a few parts that are missing. The previous owner's son has agreed to look for those and shi
them to me if found. If they are not found I'll have some serious fabricating on my hands because 2 of the pieces are the curved front fender supports. I'll be starting a blog a little later after I've had time to get the pieces tagged and placed into bins. I'm also having some modifications made to my engine stand (longer legs) to support the long 32.
