VEHICLE HISTORY/ PROJECT STATUS: | alignThe neat thing about this car is it was purchased new by my Dad in 1953 while Dad and Mom were living in Hawthorne California. Dad was working in the Aero space industry and very busy working on the new space projects . He worked on every project from Mercury to the begining of the race to the Moon with the Apollo project. Well then in 1965 Him and Mom decided to get out of the city and we moved to Missouri and purchased a dairy farm. I can still remember riding in the back seat looking out that big rear window as we headed East on Old Route 66. It was a long trip! I was only 6 but I remember it like it was yesterday! Well to make this story short and sweet we sold the farm in 1975 and Dad sold the Packard at the farm sale for $6 and we thought it was gone for good. My Dad passed away in Dec 21 and at the funeral a man came u to me and said he had something I might be interested in and I asked what and he said it was Dads old Packard and he said it was only right to return it to the family and low and behold last week he came rolling in with it on a trailer last week and handed me the keys and the title! Wow still in Dads name so its a one owner technically and I'm so happy to have it back and am going to fully restore it in my spare time. I'm a lucky man and it will give me fond memories of my Dad! So thats the story behind her and I'll be keeping you all updated as the project proceeds I'll post pics soon! Just got all original paper work and dealershi Dad bought it at. a onclick href targetfont color faceEarle C. Anthony, Inc./font/a1 S Hope ST. LA CA. on 8/28/53 pfont color face1 S.
