VEHICLE HISTORY/
PROJECT STATUS:
p61, mile desert car....

pParked u
from the '6's with a common problem: the torsion level went bang when the levelizer decided not to stop.
Very little rust at the end of the rockers (fixed). Imported at the same time a '55 parts car (torsion level broken
and font faceivery /i/fontrotten) which had a usable interior and trim (the '56 had
none).

pVery bad bearings due to oil pum
issue (have since modded pum
but bearings shot) and thats getting done at the
moment. Had the heads off and no bore wear - not really even any bore taper Packards must have a strong block. Wipers
I adapted some toyota or something rear windshield motor on to the original wire trapeze arrangement - works great!
(With modern cars the rear windscreen motor reverses - the front one just goes round and round).

pGetting painted as well - still not the original colour (don't like it), but will be using Packard colours - I'm not
into custom paint jobs. Not too much to add - radio delete plate but still has the factory twin aerials

pWas push button, converted to column years ago, I'm slowly accumulating parts to convert back to pushbutton (some
wiring is still there) but would actually prefer to convert it to a floor shift manual like a T85

pPer this post -http:/
ackardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?
viewmode=flat&type=&topic_id=2368&forum=3 - car has been SOLD. Mal(Ozstatman) 18th February 218
