This is a 2 (2 1/2) owner car originally purchased and placed in service by Thompson Funeral Home in West Columbia, SC. My dad purchased the car in 1957 for 4. (included 4 new tires). This was a daily driver till 1967. It was used primarily by my mother as a shuttle for kids etc but later was my High School ride/then college until 1967. The car was parked under shelter and untouched until 1988 when my dad and I started a rehab. Life got in the way, dad passed away, and the car remained untouched until two years ago. Chrome grills, hood ornament and tail light bezels had been redone (still wrapped in 1989 So Cal newspapers). A few false starts, headaches, miscues etc and the car is finally nearing paint stage with all remaining chrome redone, radio rehabbed. Interior to be tackled this fall/winter. Hoping to drive this to my 5th HS reunion next summer but a few hurdles to get thru first. Will have a lot of questions, mostly mechanical/electrical in the upcoming months.
