VEHICLE HISTORY/ PROJECT STATUS: | font facefont sizeFound this car on craigslist in the Fort Dodge IA area. Bought it in early April of 216. Like many cars selling online, it was some what misrepresented. The pics posted in the ad were probably 2+yrs old. It did not show a large area on the hood that was rusted due to possibly rain dripping on it. I will be finally attempting to start it this week after some engine work. It had no compression when I first brought it home. Took the head off to find 7 out 8 exhaust valves stuck open. Took a bit to get them all working, especially no.4. Had the head surfaced, and installed it with a nos head gasket. After I get it running I will have to go thru the entire brake system including the master cylinder, and booster. /font/font p

MODIFICATIONS: | Help! I'm confused. Is the vin no. supposed to be the same as the engine no? There is a tag on the upper right firewall, (pass side) that reads C66068. There is another tag on the drivers side door post: 5492-5406. There is also a blank spot on the drivers side firewall that's about 1 1/2 high x 2 1/2 long? Looks like there was some sort of tag there, but no screw holes, etc.
