VEHICLE HISTORY/
PROJECT STATUS:
I found this Packard back in 1986 or 87, when I was

working at Mel Burns Ford in Long Beach Ca.

It was on the used car lot, on consignment. The owner

had not been heard from for about 3 years, so the used car

manager sold me the car for $35.

I drove it home... old gas and all

At some time I did a valve job done and installed the harden seats.

used the Dodge 318 lifters

Car has always been a good driver, many trips to Tucson Az

and to Las Vegas
Vehicle Modifications
MODIFICATIONS:
I'm installing front Disc brakes at this time, using the F150

setup that Paul used. I am also installing a Hydroboost system

from a Mustang v8, and using a remote master cylinder fill Installing new brake lines "poly armor"

The transmission was rebuilt back in the late 80's by Bob

down in Vista Ca.. he was in his late 70's then.

I installed all new wheel cylinders, right after I bought the car

and I've had the power brake unit rebuilt twice that is why I'm switching to the Hydroboost, It's just smarter in the Ca traffic.

I've been driving and had the brake fluid disappear from the MC

Sorry don't have a good pic of the Packard on this computer... any longer
