VEHICLE HISTORY/
PROJECT STATUS:
Car has been in family since 1942. My Uncle Jack inherited the car from his wife when she passed away. She inherited the car from her father Joe when he passed away. Joe was owed some money in 1942 and that person gave Joe the 1938 Packard. How I got the car. When my Uncle Jack was alive I use to tease him that I would like to drive the car at your funeral. When he was 78, (1991), he came to me and said lets get the car running. (last tags were dated 196). It took me a year to get it looking and running nice. In January of 1993, he said that before I could have the car he wanted to drive it (Note he was walking with two canes). He got in the car and said let me see if I can get my foot on the brakes (whew). He started the car and off we went. Every thing went well, he parked the car and signed the title and gave me the car. March the 4th (1993) he was 8 and I picked him u
in the Packard and we went to a dinner theater. March 2th he passed away and I drove the car to his funeral. I am in the process of redoing things to use the car in a wedding (gas tank, brakes, radiator etc.) Am trying to find a relative to give the car to, to kee
in the family.
Vehicle Modifications
MODIFICATIONS:
Only made three changes. Changed the interior to a maroon/red color, removed the no roll clutch, had an aluminum gas tank made. Re chromed the bumpers and 1 door window frame. New hub caps. I just had the original radiator re-cored($$$$)
