VEHICLE HISTORY/
PROJECT STATUS:
A dealer tag on the trunk lid says: O'Brien Motor Sales, Kankakee, Illinois The previous owner is said to have purchased the car from the Volo Auto Museum, Volo, Illinois, in the summer of 1988. Apparently due to poor health, the owner drove it only about 25 miles and stored the car in an unheated garage in Northbrook, Illinois. It sat there for 25 years. He died in Florida in 2015 and the widow sold the car. I bought it on eBay February 18, 2018, and had it delivered to my home. The car arrived on February 23rd. It runs very well. I bought a new battery, buffed the paint and chrome, installed new brakes and tires and a new water pump. My wife and I drove it a total of about 800 miles on the 218 PAC Henry Joy Tour.and the car performed well. At some point, I will detail the engine compartment and have the chrome replated. The odometer shows just above 39,5 miles. I do plan to drive and enjoy the car and perhaps show it.
Vehicle Modifications
MODIFICATIONS:
As nearly as I can tell, with the exception of the repaint, the car is completely factory stock. No modifications at all.
